Bean sprouts (tua-ngawk)
Sprouts from organic mung beans are crunchy, tender, uniquely flavorful, and healthy!! I love to put on Pad Thai and Thai Salad.
Every time I go shopping at the asian store., Things I will not forget are, the coconut milk, galangle, lemon grass, sweet radish, bean sprouts,.... because it doesn't have these things at the local supermarket.
Thai basil, or Asian basil is a type of sweet basil native to Southeast Asia that has been cultivated to provide distinctive traits. Its flavor is more stable under high or extended cooking temperatures than that of sweet basil.
Kaffir lime leaves are widely used in spicy Thai soups and curries, either cooked whole, together with the dish, and/or finely shredded and added before serving.
Pandan or orscrewpine leaves
This sweet smelling leaf is used for flavouring different sweet snacks/desserts. It is also used in the well known dish Kai ho bai toei, deep fried chicken wrapped in pandanus leaves, as well as to stuff the belly of barbecued fish
Either served raw (shredded or diced) with dishes such as Miang kham and Khanom chin sao nam, in certain chilli dips, or in stir fried dishes of Chinese origin.
